Art and Design
At Harris Primary Academy East Dulwich, we have very high expectations of what children can achieve in art and design. Art and Design is taught in such a way as to give each child confidence in his/her own creative ability, deriving a sense of pleasure and fulfilment through imaginative work. The children develop a natural curiosity about the visual world. A wide variety of materials are available and skills and techniques developed include drawing, painting, printing, marbling, model making and textile design. Art and design is planned by teachers and subject specialist from the Federation.
Our ultimate aim is to inspire expressive, independent individuals who journey forwards, making their mark on the world as confidently as they do on paper with a paintbrush, pen or pencil.
